The Sumter Artists Guild was founded in 1966. It is comprised of amateur and professional artists and art enthusiasts.
Meetings are held to promote, support and foster interest in art and to create an opportunity for our community artists to engage in co-operative artistic enterprise. The S.A.G. participates in various local events including the Iris Festival, the Sumter County Fair and our own Sumter Gallery of Art Show.
Our meetings are open to the public and we encourage anyone interested in the arts to attend.
Our meetings feature local artists and guest speakers demonstrating various techniques and applications along with encouragement to individuals and groups to grow creativity.
Please feel welcome to join us, whatever your artistic level, as our members range from amateur to professionals.
